Marilyn TedescoMarilyn Tedesco is the founder and president of Training One and Consultants to Management. Both consulting firms are internationally recognized for their comprehensive management and executive development projects and for their work with clients on corporate strategy, organizational effectiveness and human resources initiatives.

Mrs. Tedesco has more than forty years of leadership in this field. Establishing an early reputation for excellence in fostering managerial communication and people effectiveness in organizations, current assignments include comprehensive management and executive development projects that align business goals and strategies in rapidly changing organizations. Generally, Mrs. Tedesco is retained to work in partnership with senior management to identify and bring to implementation strategic business and human resources initiatives. In addition, she is a popular presenter at management meetings and has coached hundreds of men and women in major corporations, small businesses and professional practices, alike, in leadership skills and effective management practices.

Since 1997, Mrs. Tedesco has been retained by the executive leadership of a leading electric and gas utility to provide executive coaching and organizational effectiveness assistance throughout their pre-merger, merger and post-merger periods in support of an aggressive high performance strategy. Since the mid 90s she has been a consultant to a global consulting firm, working in partnership with its office and unit leadership on the identification and elegant execution of their strategic initiatives. Of particular interest to many has been her long-standing consulting relationship with The Panama Canal Commission. For eighteen years, Mrs. Tedesco traveled to Panama as a consultant to The Panama Canal Commission assisting with Treaty Implementation and organizational effectiveness issues and presenting more than 100 management courses and executive seminars on current topics. She worked extensively with Engineering, Maritime and Construction leaders, developed the Career Intern Seminar series and worked with each incoming group of high potential professionals.

Ms. Tedesco holds an MBA degree from the University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business and is a recipient of the Outstanding Women of America Award and Effectiveness Training's Full Cup Award. Her academic background also features an undergraduate degree in education and well-rounded additional graduate study in business strategy, negotiations, counseling psychology, organizational effectiveness, adult learning and human resource development. She served on the Editorial Advisory Board for Practice Personnel Bulletin, is listed in Whos Who in Professional and Executive Women and has been a featured guest on the television show, Inside San Diego.

Currently, she serves as vice president of the Board of Trustees and past president of The North Coast Repertory Theatre in Solana Beach, CA, and on the Board of Trustees of the Guillain-Barre Syndrome/CIDP International Foundation and recently has served as a trustee on the Board of Trustees of The Scripps Whittier Institute for Diabetes Research in La Jolla, CA.
